• Voted in support of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act, against human cloning, and for other bills that recognize the sanctity of all life. • Voted to protect traditional marriage and to keep judges from overturning the will of the American people. • Sponsor of the “Making Work and Marriage Pay Act” to encourage and provide incentives for working families and promote marriage. • Voted to increase fines against media that broadcast profane or indecent material. • Supported legislation to keep our children safe from predators and others who would do them harm, including greater support for the AMBER alert system. • Opposed “hate crime” legislation which provide for additional penalties for actions which are already crimes based on what someone was thinking at the time the crime was committed. |
